Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga has reportedly been admitted to a Nairobi hospital, where he has been receiving medical care for the past two weeks.
Sources familiar with the situation say strict restrictions have been imposed on visitors, with access to the senator reportedly limited to his two spouses, children and President William Ruto.
According to the sources, several government leaders, including Members of Parliament from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), have been turned away from the hospital.
The nature of Oburu’s illness and his current medical condition have not been publicly disclosed.
The hospital and Oburu’s family have not, at the time of publication, issued an official statement confirming the reports.
