Prominent civic activist and photojournalist Allan Ademba has pledged to work towards registering an additional two million young voters in support for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna presidential bid.
Ademba has committed to scale up national youth voter mobilization to add two million more young people to the voter register, building on the three million he claims have already been registered.
Allan Ademba, who gained national prominence for documenting the Gen Z anti-Finance Bill protests in the acclaimed BBC Africa Eye documentary, emphasized that young Kenyans must move beyond frustration to political action.
“It is time to organize, not agonize. This mission requires a collective effort. We are at three million new registrations, and we must get to five million,” Ademba stated during a youth mobilization session.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna previously commended Ademba in Parliament for his leadership in the youth-led Tuko Kadi movement, acknowledging the campaign’s success in mobilizing over one million young Kenyans to register as voters.
The civic movement emphasizes that political empowerment requires young people not only to register as voters but also to vie for elective seats in governance.

Ademba urged youth to target leadership positions at both the national and grassroots levels, pointing out that local governance heavily dictates service delivery.
“Let us not only focus on national positions but also county elective seats,” Ademba urged, highlighting the importance of County Assembly positions (MCAs) alongside parliamentary seats.
How to Check Your IEBC Voter Registration Status in Kenya as Ademba Targets 2 million More Youth for Sifuna
To verify your voter registration details with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), SMS your National ID or Passport number followed by your year of birth to 70000.
Alternatively, citizens can visit the official IEBC portal, enter their identification details, and instantly verify their registered polling station, ward, constituency, and county.
The drive to hit five million newly registered voters aims to position the youth electorate as a decisive voting bloc across Kenya’s 47 counties.
Stakeholders continue to encourage eligible young citizens who have attained national identity cards to visit their local IEBC constituency offices to register before electoral deadlines.
